IT Glue’s Year in Review: 2018

Think back to this time last year. What has your MSP accomplished since then? What do you anticipate for 2019? We can’t believe that the year has come to an end, either. But as we move into the new year, we too are taking time to reflect on what 2018 looked like for us.
It was another record year here at IT Glue, including more features, API integrations, mobile updates, and more, than ever before, all spearheaded by our Development team. In terms of our incredible partner base, we’ve now reached 6,000 partners in 36 countries all over the world. You could say it’s been a wild ride.
Features
First and foremost, a massive thank you to all of our partners who have continuously provided various feature requests. We hear you and appreciate all the suggestions we get. Second, a huge kudos to all the members of our team, and especially our Product and Development teams, who have made these ideas – your ideas – come to life.
Process enhancement
We know one of the biggest problems you face is a lack of time. So one of our largest goals is providing features that focus on radically improving your business processes, allowing you to save time and focus on scale. Throughout 2018, some of our most prominent process-enhancement features include:
Mobile App
We know how important it is to have mobile functionality, which is why we’ve dedicated a chunk of our time to enhancing the IT Glue mobile app. Our latest updates include adding both Flexible Assets and Configurations to the app. Don’t forget: our mobile app is available for both Apple and Android!
MyGlue
What a year for MyGlue! Our password, processes, and collaboration tool dedicated to your clients has grown leaps and bounds throughout the past 10 months since we launched last February. As our partners continue to offer MyGlue to their clients, they’re realizing just how integral it is not only for their clients’ password security, but to encourage collaboration and communication with them.
IT Glue Academy
Even the most experienced IT Glue user can still find new and exciting ways that they can leverage the app to improve their business. With that in mind, the launch of the IT Glue Academy is truly an incredible tool for our partners to ensure they’re getting the most out of their entire IT Glue experience. Between courses and certifications, we can’t encourage you enough to get started with it.
Integrations
Last January, we started off the year knowing that automation would be one of the top trends for many MSPs throughout 2018, and if anything, it’s only grown in importance. Our integrations ensure that you have the capability you need when it comes to automating your processes. Some of the integrations we released this year include:
Events
In September 2018, we held our first ever user event in Phoenix, Arizona. It was an unbelievable success, bringing MSPs together for an array of keynotes, breakout sessions, and networking that would help grow businesses. Between the Panel of Titans, live development, and Glue Palooza, the event had people talking for months.
That being said, in an effort to better reflect what we’re all about, our annual user event has officially taken on a new future-facing signature called GlueX. GlueX is all about the experience. It’s about not just small improvements, but radical transformation for your MSP. Join us September 15-17, 2019, in Phoenix, Arizona, because if you heard how successful our first event was, just wait until you experience this.
Company
This year witnessed an inspiring amount of effort, dedication, and motivation, across all of our teams, and in both of our offices. Our team grew by 30% over the course of the past 12 months, making the #GlueCrew officially just over 100 employees.
Our UK office nearly doubled in size, and they have driven incredible growth throughout that region, even putting on some innovative and exceptionally well-attended events. This fall, they celebrated 99% attendance at the Silverstone Racetrack Roadshow, making it the best event turnout for the roadshows so far.
The IT Glue Global MSP Benchmark Report
This past March we launched the first annual IT Glue Global MSP Benchmark Report. In an effort to see where your MSP stands among the rest, this survey helped us identify what characterizes the Golden Quintile of MSPs. We’ve already begun preparing for the 2019 Benchmark Survey, so stay tuned to see how else the industry and your MSP have developed.
